Jolie ABOUT ME I’ve been in several singing groups, starting from my primary school choir to my church youth choir to a parang band, but the first time I realized I wanted to be an artist was summer 2018 at Taylor Swift’s Reputation Stadium tour. It was the first big concert I’d ever been to and as I watched her on that stage, singing the songs she wrote that connected with hundreds of thousands of people, I thought ‘I want to do that’. I want to reach people through my words, through my voice. Yes I know. It’s not that easy, especially when you’re from a little Caribbean island that most people can’t even find on a map. Being a singer seemed so impossible, I was almost ashamed to tell people about that goal. And you know, when you’re a teenager, all people ever ask is “What do you want to be when you grow up? What do you want to do with your life?” and I’d never have a confident answer. Not because I didn’t know, but because the dream felt like it would always stay just that - a dream. 
I prayed though, every day. It was the only thing I ever really asked God for. I mean, He gave me the passion and the talent, He must have a plan. Very soon, it seemed like He did. He landed me an accounting job in Maraval, which just so happened to be above a recording studio, which would become very important to me, EM Studios. Everything happened quickly after that. Opportunities like these were rare, my circumstances so near perfect that it had to be God guiding me and I will forever be grateful to Him and everyone He touched as well, to bring us all to this point. I thank you for reading this, and please continue to browse.
